James Cameron skips Avatar 2's Hollywood premiere after getting Covid

James Cameron revealed on Monday that he would have to skip his film Avatar: The Way Of Water’s Hollywood premiere after getting a positive Covid-19 test result.

The 68-year-old filmmaker revealed to Deadline that he had tested positive sometime after returning home from following an Avatar 2 screening in .

    The Terminator director previously celebrated Avatar: The Way Of Water with its stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver and Kate Winslet on December 6 for its world premiere in London, before he traveled to Asia for more events with the primary cast.

    Considering the considerable interest that the first film still commands, Deadline expected that the film could have a $200 million opening after it debuts on Friday.
